Cloud computing is a vital driver of information technology infrastructure, gaining increasing importance due to its dynamic resource allocation and cost reduction capabilities. It offers flexible and broad access to infrastructures, software, and platforms as services, attracting many users and organizations. However, challenges remain, including unpredictable performance, resource sharing difficulties, security risks, storage constraints, limited accessibility for diverse needs, and data privacy concerns. Within this context, load balancing stands out as a fundamental aspect of cloud computing, ensuring reliability, scalability, reduced response time, optimized efficiency, and cost management. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of load balancing approaches in cloud environments, along with an in depth examination of existing literature. It deepens the understanding of related issues and assists researchers in identifying gaps and potential solutions. Highlighting these aspects not only clarifies the present situation but also supports advancements in future cloud studies.
