A Systematic Review of Resource Allocation Strategies in Cloud-Assisted Wireless Sensor Networks

چکیده :

This review narrative discusses resource allocation techniques in cloud-enabled wireless sensor networks (WSNs), their theoretical foundation, trends, uses, and constraints in the Internet of Things (IoT) era. It emphasizes how these techniques overcome WSN constraints such as limited computing power, energy, and bandwidth using the capabilities of clouds. Major subjects are transformation from hybrid to edge-cloud structures, optimization, game theory, machine learning, and applications in smart cities, healthcare, agriculture, and environment monitoring. Outcomes note breakthroughs in AI-driven resource management and Sensing-as-a-Service paradigms with regard for challenges such as absence of empirical evidences, varying energy-performance ratios, and yet not fully touched upon security, privacy, and heterogeneity concerns. The review emphasizes interoperability protocols that need to be standardized and ethical issues. It invites future work on large-scale human studies, light-weight security models, and technologies like blockchain and quantum-resistant cryptography to guarantee resiliency and sustainability, pointing researchers toward innovative solutions for data-driven ecosystems.
