Detection of wormhole attacks in Distance Vector-Hop algorithm

چکیده :

The wormhole attack is an effective countermeasure in Wireless Sensor Nets (WSNs) that enables two or more attacker nodes to rob communication from each other, storing the information elsewhere. Communications disruption, routing issues, and other localization errors can occur if wormhole attacks are on the operation. Unauthorized physical access, package losses, and increased network traffic are some adverse effects of this attack. Attacker nodes may persuade ordinary sensor nodes are able to observe their data and traffic in the link length. There is a severe issue with the location in WSNs. In the localization of sensor nodes, DV-Hop is a conventional hop-distance technique. DV-Hop is located in the wrong place. This article helps to increase the accuracy of the DV-Hop and wormhole attack location detection in WSNs. The error in DV-Hop has been minimized to a new distance in this work by using a hop-size and gap measuring correction. It has been shown that the proposed model has superior overall performance while operating in a variety of topologies compared to DV-Hop, with significantly greater accuracy in terms of the location of the proposed model.
